Internship

Real-world experience built into the final year of every programme, connecting classroom learning to the workplace.

As part of the curriculum's final-year project and internship component, students at Florence Degree College undertake a structured internship relevant to their discipline. It's a chance to apply classroom learning to real organisational work, build professional skills, and often opens the door to early career opportunities through the Placement Cell.

How It Works

1

Faculty Coordinator Allocation

Each department assigns a faculty coordinator to guide and monitor students through the internship process.

2

Internship Placement

Students identify or are guided toward an internship relevant to their discipline, with support from the Placement Cell.

3

Internship Period

Students complete the internship at the host organisation, applying academic knowledge to real tasks and projects.

4

Report & Evaluation

A internship report and completion certificate are submitted and evaluated as part of the final-semester project component.

Guidelines

  • Relevance: The internship should align with the student's programme and area of study.
  • Documentation: A completion certificate from the host organisation and a written report are required.
  • Faculty mentorship: Students should stay in touch with their assigned faculty coordinator throughout.
  • Evaluation: Internship work is assessed as part of the final-semester project component โ€” see Curriculum for details.
