A fair, transparent mechanism for students to raise concerns and have them addressed, in line with UGC regulations.
Florence Degree College is committed to providing students a fair and transparent means of raising concerns about their academic or campus experience. In line with the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations, 2023, the College maintains a Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) to receive, review, and resolve genuine student grievances in a time-bound manner.
Concerns about teaching, evaluation, attendance, or classroom experience.
Issues relating to internal assessments, results, or examination conduct.
Admission, fee, certificate, or other office-related concerns.
Concerns about classrooms, labs, library, or other campus facilities.
Any form of harassment or discriminatory treatment on campus.
Any other genuine concern not covered above.
Note: Ragging-related complaints are handled separately under the College's Anti-RaggingStudent FeedbackComplaint / Suggestion policy, not through this general grievance mechanism.
Submit your grievance in writing to the SGRC, either in person at the office or via the college's official contact channel, with your name, register number, and a clear description of the issue.
The grievance is logged and acknowledged by the committee within a few working days of submission.
The SGRC reviews the matter and, where necessary, hears from the concerned parties before reaching a decision.
The outcome and any corrective action are communicated to the student within the committee's prescribed timeline.
If a grievance remains unresolved after the College's internal process, students may escalate it to the University Grants Commission's e-Samadhaan portal, which consolidates UGC's grievance redressal services.
